MIAC

Well... another MIAC show is done. What's MIAC you ask? It is simply the Music Industry Trade Show. It is hosted at the center of the universe... Toronto. (Think NAMM show only smaller and Canadian).

Manufacturers and Suppliers set up booths (a la the Brandon Home Show - only way bigger - and let's face it - way cooler) and tout their wares to us weary Musical Instument Dealers.

Many decisions are made at these shows which ultimately lead to what we all get to see stocked in our favorite neighbourhood music stores. Dealers get to touch and feel pretty much everything that is available and decide what we think would be cool to bring in.

Some of the lucky ones even get previews of up and coming products from major manufacturers. Everything from guitar picks to guitars to modular stage systems and line array live sound venue systems are on display.

Anyways, we saw some cool stuff and some not so cool stuff. Met some cool people and some not so cool people... but more importantly we ordered a lot of stuff. Over the next several weeks Faders will get stuffed with some really great gear.

To give you a hint... the VAST majority is guitars and guitar related. But there may be some surprises in the PA, synth and *recording* sections as well. As the gear starts to trickle in we will be sure to let it be known with pics and descriptions and prices etc. That's it for now.

See you soon.
